August 23, 2019 – Hewitt, TX – The McLennan County Chamber Alliance representatives meet on a quarterly basis to exchange ideas, share strengths, overcome challenges and collaborate on a regional level.

The purpose of the MCCA is to facilitate collaborative work on issues of common interest and importance, in an effort to improve the region’s overall economic competitiveness and quality of life.

Membership in the MCCA is constituted from chambers of commerce within McLennan County who embrace the vision of regional collaboration, and have executed a formal Memorandum of Understanding stating their desire to be a part of the Alliance.

Chambers are encouraged to share Wacotxjobs.com with their members as a tool for hiring, as well as promoting the Find Your Waco Life event to be held Oct. 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hilton Downtown Waco.

Ideas such as “Principal for a Day,” where local leaders may learn what a day in the life of a Principal looks like may be arranged in the near future. As an alliance, representatives are also invited to participate in public policy committees including education, infrastructure and healthcare.

All chambers were represented and communicated current events, available scholarships, needs, accomplishments, challenges and upcoming signature event dates. Lorena and West chambers are currently in a rebuilding phase and working to establish strong leadership teams.
